Momondo is a great site to compare airfares and travel deals. It is also an inspirational travel search tool that provides travel tips, industry insight and insight on trending cities and countries.
This is definitely one of my favorites! If you're not sure where to travel to, google flights provides a map with a "discover destination" feature. The search engine will pull all airline prices to show you a comparison of what's available from various airlines.
